SCOTLAND'S TARTAN FESTIVAL

Bringing Tartan Home to Crieff

Tartan is Scotland’s story, woven in wool. For one day this May, Crieff becomes its home.

Makers, designers, musicians, storytellers and food heroes from across the country are coming to Market Park for Scotland’s first dedicated tartan festival. Whether you wear your clan colours with pride, you’re exploring Strathearn for the first time, or you just fancy a brilliant day out in town, there’s a place for you here.

THE FESTIVAL'S STORY

Tartan brought Scotland together. Now we’re bringing it home.

Every tartan tells a story: of a family, a place, a skill passed down. Some of those stories are centuries old. Others are being woven on looms right now.

Scotland’s Tartan Festival celebrates tartan as it is today, a living culture shaped by the people who make it, wear it and carry it forward.

It’s also why Experience Crieff exists. We want to give people from across Scotland and beyond a reason to come to Strathearn, stay a while and discover what’s here, and to give our own community and businesses a signature event to be proud of.
