Lady Mary’s Walk


One of Crieff's most beloved walks is Lady Mary’s Walk. This delightful 5-mile trail takes about 2 hours to complete. The route is mostly flat and winds along the riverside and through lush woodlands, making it perfect for families and those seeking a leisurely stroll.


As you walk, keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife such as deer and various bird species. The path is well-marked, ensuring that you can enjoy views of the River Earn and the rolling hills without losing your way. This is the perfect Sunday afternoon stroll.

The Knock


The Knock is the wooded hill that stands guard over the town of Crieff. This circular route begins by climbing to the top for excellent and extensive views on the boundary of the Highlands and the Lowlands. The walk continues round the Knock in a circular path.


The climb is a little steep in parts, but you'll find that the effort pays off when you reach the top. From there, you can see the surrounding landscape, including hills and valleys, making it a perfect spot for a picnic.

The Hosh Circuit


The Hosh Circuit is another easy option that spans 3 to 4 miles and takes about 1 to 1.5 hours to complete. This gentle circular route combines farmland and woodland, allowing for a peaceful wander.


There's a variety of sights along the way, including fields, farm animals and vibrant wildflowers. This trail is a popular choice for those looking to spend a leisurely day outdoors.


River Earn Walk - Crieff to Muthill


This walk is around 6 miles and takes a couple of hours to complete.


A lovely linear walk along the banks of the River Earn and through beautiful woodland. The walk gives the chance to explore the town of Crieff and the pretty village of Muthill. And if you have had enough of a walk by then there are regular buses which can take you back to Crieff.


Torlum Hill


For those willing to explore further, Torlum Hill is a moderate climb taking around 2-hours. The hike rewards you with stunning views over Strathearn.


The well-maintained trail offers a great workout and showcases the beauty of the countryside. Be sure to bring a camera to capture the breath taking views that await you at the top.


Deil's Cauldron and Melville Monument


The River Lednock cascades out from a rocky gorge in teh atmospheric tree-clad ampitheatre known as Deil's Cauldron. This excellent and varied circular walk from the attractive village of Comrie visits the Cauldron itself. It also includes the ascent to the Melville Monument, the obelisk atop Dun More - a wonderful viewpoint.


The walk is 4.75 miles long and takes 2-3 hours.


Ben Chonzie


For experienced hikers, Ben Chonzie presents a more challenging hike. Take in the stunning views as you follow the path to the summit. The hike is a great starting point for your Munros adventure. Some parts of the trail can be rocky and pathless through the heather and moorland so do take care.


The hike is roughly 8 miles long and takes around 5 hours to complete.


The views are absolutely spectacular so you will not be disappointed when you reach the top.


Drummond Castle Gardens


If you prefer a more relaxed outing, the Drummond Castle Gardens entail flexible walking options through beautifully maintained gardens and woodland paths. Located just south of Crieff, this easy walk provides a wonderful way to unwind.


Depending on the season, the gardens burst with vibrant blooms and lush greenery, creating a picturesque setting. Enjoy this serene environment for an afternoon stroll.


Loch Turret Reservoir


Located just 10 minutes north of Crieff, Loch Turret Reservoir offers flexible walking options. Depending on your chosen route, you can enjoy a short stroll or embark on a longer hike of up to 10 miles, taking 4 to 5 hours to complete.

Laggan Hill


Just outside Crieff, Laggan Hill presents a moderate 4-mile hike that takes about 2 to 2.5 hours. This trail features woodland paths and open hillside, providing fantastic views over Strathearn.
